Paws to Listen

"Paws to Listen" is a community outreach program organized by Longmont Humane Society, designed to get children hooked on reading by using registered Therapy Dogs as reading companions.

The program is carried out in a variety of settings including schools, libraries and bookstores. This style of program is designed to boost self-confidence and self-esteem among participating children while improving their reading skills.

If you are interested in being involved in a similar program and are not in the Boulder County area, please consider contacting Paws for People to obtain information on their nationally known Paws to R.E.A.D® program which is similar in nature.
