Teddy was turned into the Southampton Animal Shelter on Long Island New York. He was adopted by a friend of LHS benefactor Susan Allen, the person who so generously donated 5 million dollars to Longmont Humane Society (LHS) enabling them to build a much larger, state-of-the-art facility they named the Longmont Humane Society Allen Center, after her. After being adopted, he bit the "friend" 3 times and they no longer wanted him. The Behavior & Training Director of LHS took him and Susan said she either had to find him a home or keep him, she could not euthanize him. He lived with her for a year, all the while not getting along with the dogs in her house and thus being picked on and beat up all the time. Being friends with her and knowing the situation he was in at her home, we took Teddy in to our home knowing we could provide a safer environment for him. That was when he was 5 years old and he is now 7. 75% of the time he is a sweet little cuddly dog and 25% of the time he can be a real challenge. He is available for adoption to a good home. He would be an ideal fit as an only dog and would do especially well with someone who wants a great lap dog.
